About Us

Talky2 was developed by Claudia Perez, Ph.D., a Clinical Psychologist in practice in Northern California. Trained as a family therapist, she has treated individuals, families and couples for over 20 years. Seeing over and over again, that a major road block to intimacy is an inability to communicate ones needs and feelings, she has developed this unique, simple tool for couples. It provides a template to help an individual take a moment to stop and organize their thoughts, feelings and needs. Understanding that many individuals do not have the language to express themselves, Talky2 provides a list of feelings and needs that are common, but often go unexpressed. With repeated use of this list of suggestions, one learns the valuable experience of being mindful as well as being tuned in to their partner. Subsequently, most couples who use Talky2 have a greater ability to communicate. They feel heard and better understood by their partner, and in turn, feel greater couple satisfaction.

Talky2 is not a replacement for a good conversation with one's partner. but rather a means of support. The website reinforces private, intimate communication using a secure login, for the invited partner.

Talky2 has been further expanded to help older children and adolescents, friendships, co-parenting partners, and other dyadic relationships such as teacher and parent, and teacher and student.

If you have any problems using the site, simply send an email to support@talky2.com and we will do our best to help you.
